Why Game server hosting runs better here

Specific technical alignment, not generic copy. Each point below is something the workload needs and we provide by default.

1 Tbps DDoS absorption with one-click L7 game profiles. No "protection tier" upsell.
High clock Xeon Gold for single-threaded games (Minecraft chunk gen). EPYC for parallel (Rust, Valheim).
41-second median deploy. Spin up a fresh instance for a private match in less than a minute.
Low-latency peering to TIER-1 carriers. Median RTT to Western Europe under 30 ms from any of our 4 locations.
NVMe everywhere. World file I/O (Minecraft saves, Rust map cache) doesn't cap your tick rate.

What you should know about Game server hosting on Cryptoservers

DDoS scrubbing capacity matters for game servers more than for almost any other workload — competitive players have access to booter services and routinely use them. Every plan includes 1 Tbps of L3/L4 absorption with L7 game-server templates (one-click profiles for the common Minecraft, CS:GO/CS2, Valheim, Rust, Palworld, and Source-engine traffic patterns). No opt-in, no extra charge, no "DDoS protection tier" upsell.

For most modded Minecraft servers, vps-pro at 24 GB DDR5 + 8 vCPU on Xeon Gold handles 30–50 concurrent players comfortably. Vanilla scales further; modded with Create + Industrial-Foregoing eats memory fast. CPU clock matters more than core count for Minecraft (single-threaded chunk gen); Xeon Gold 6430 in Business+ is the right call. Rust is the inverse: highly parallel, scales with vCPU.

Sysadmin FAQ

Game server hosting — questions answered

How big does my plan need to be for Minecraft Java with mods?
Vanilla Minecraft: vps-growth handles 20 players. Lightly modded (Quark, JEI): vps-business. Heavy modpack (Create, IF, AE2): vps-pro for 30–50 players. Beyond that, ded-shield or higher because of the sustained CPU load.
Will I be DDoS'ed off the server during competitive matches?
Booter attacks against game servers are common but our scrubbing absorbs them transparently. We've mitigated 600+ Gbps attacks against Minecraft servers without dropping the player connection. The L7 profiles are the key — they recognize Minecraft handshakes and discard malformed packets at the edge.
Where should I host for European players?
Netherlands (Amsterdam) for the lowest median RTT to Western Europe and good UK transit. Romania (Bucharest) is a strong second with great peering to Eastern Europe. Switzerland and Iceland are further but have niche peering for specific routes.
Do you charge per player slot or by traffic?
Neither. Flat monthly per plan. You can run a 100-slot Minecraft server on vps-pro (if your CPU and memory budget allows) and pay $54.99/month. No "slot tier" pricing, no traffic overage on the unmetered uplink.
Can I run a private modded Discord-only server here?
Yes — that's the most common deployment. Many of our game-server customers run private community servers behind a whitelist or auth plugin. Same plans, same pricing, just gated at the application layer.
